About Me

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog.

I was born in upstate New York to my parents: Tom and Elisabeth. Moved to Tucson, AZ when I was 4 and grew up there all the way through High School and College. I managed to obtain a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1999.

I moved out to Santa Cruz, CA in Jan 2000 to work for SCO [before the company went crazy]. After about a year of that, I went to work for startup called Activebuddy. Although they changed names a bunch of times, they are actually still working hard on their software for a small company named Microsoft. I keep in touch with a number of the guys from those days. I met my future wife, Jen, in Sept 2000.

Jen and I moved to Jackson, WY to ski bum for a year in 2002. I worked for a small regional ISP in the area part time and skied alot [I think I managed 54 days IIRC]. Jen went back to school in 2003 at the University of Arizona (yes, we moved back to Tucson) and got her Master’s in Landscape Architecture. Since then, we lived in and got married in Reno where I worked for myself and she worked for CFA, a local Landscape Architecture company.

Most recently, I took a new job with Yahoo. I work for the Core Software Infrastructure Team. Many people ask what I do at Yahoo. Maybe I will save that for my first real post. The gist of it is we are the LAMP and Yahoo, minus the ‘L’ and with a few more bits of software thrown in.
